QATAR NATIONAL VISION 2030 is a compass for action, a horizon of sustainable governance and living towards every step counts. For every action a reaction is anticipated in a sequence of projects, collaborations and investments. Hera are a few of those steps forward.

GOALS OF EXPO 2023 DOHA, QATAR

The theme of EXPO 2023 Doha, Qatar is “Green Desert, Better Environment”. The goal is to encourage, inspire and inform people about innovative solutions for the reduction of desertification
The Exhibition will offer an international platform for participants, stakeholders, decision makers, non-governmental organizations and experts to address the global challenge of “Desertification”.
Holding an international horticultural exhibition in Doha is a real challenge and this is what makes it the perfect setting to discuss desertification.
Global challenges require global action. EXPO 2023 Doha, Qatar will engage and unite international community to find solutions to desertification, whilst at the same time making a valuable contribution to achieving a sustainable future.
Expo 2023 Doha, Qatar is aligned with the Qatar National Vision 2030, and is defined by the following objectives:
• To host the first horticultural exhibition in a region with a desert climate.
• To establish a showcase for ‘The Green City’ within the Middle East, by defining Qatar as a hub for this con¬cept.
• Encourage horticultural innovation focusing on the climate, water and the soils of Qatar.
• To promote Expo 2023 Doha, Qatar as a catalyst for international investments and business opportunities in Qatar.
• Highlight the synergies between landscape, sport and human health and well-being.
• To offer innovative actions which would allow humanity to combat desertification faster and more decisively before it is too late
• To constitute useful environmental outputs as a legacy for humanity

The 2021 FIFA Arab Cup is the 10th edition of the Arab world's national team football tournament; it is the first edition under FIFA's jurisdiction, taking place between 30 November and 18 December2021 in Qatar, as a prelude to the 2022 FIFA World Cup which will also be held in Qatar.

10M trees initiative

The State of Qatar announced its commitment to planting one million trees before the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, which will be the first carbon-neutral tournament, and to planting 10 million trees by 2030, in the framework of its support to the Middle East Green Initiative, launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Taking place quadrennially, the FIFA Men's World Cup™ sees 32 nations compete against each other for the prize. With continental qualification pathways leading to an exciting finals event, it brings fans together around the passion and love for the game.
In December 2010, Qatar made history by winning the right to host the FIFA World Cup 2022™ and became the first Middle Eastern country to do so. In the years since, the country has used this opportunity to not only work on developing an exceptional experience for the fans, but also to create a lasting legacy for Qatar, the Middle East, Asia, and the world.

Asian Games

The 2030 Asian Games officially known as the XXI Asiad, will be the twenty-first edition of the Asian Games, and will be held in Doha, Qatar. Doha was elected as the host city at the 39th Olympic Council of Asia General Assembly Meeting on 16 December 2020 in Muscat, Oman.
