One third of the world’s land surface is threatened by desertification. The amount of arid land increases by 12 million hectares each year, making it a global problem. This is an issue that the global horticultural community can and must address by growing awareness and solutions.

Expo 2023 Doha, Qatar will host a year of sharing, learning and celebrating around four main themes:
The International Horticultural Expo 2023 will be hosted by the State of Qatar. Located on the west of Doha city, 2,5km from West Bay, 3,5km from Doha Port and about 12km away from Hamad International Airport. The EXPO site will blossom into an experience of innovation, sustainability, sharing, culture and entertainment, welcoming the world to an event ready to make history.
The Expo gateway and focal point of international gardens, exhibitions and events. The northern part is approximately 700,000 sqm in size.
Utilising a wealth of existing features, this section of the park will act as a hub for family fun, activities and outdoor gathering. The central zone is approximately 500,000 sqm.
Its proximity the the historical center of Doha and existing features such as the Old Fort and Old Rocks make it the perfect venue for cultural and traditional activities and exhibitions. The southern zone is approximately 500,000 sqm in size.
