Italian Pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha: Italian Delegation Visits the “Garden of the Future”

October 11, 2023

In celebration of the Italian National Day at Expo 2023 Doha, the Italian Pavilion held a splendid ceremony graced by an esteemed Italian delegation and the Ambassador of Italy to Qatar, Paolo Toschi. The pavilion, a marvel of modern agricultural technology, build using ecological and recycled materials, features 4.0 agriculture solutions (such as drones, sensors, big data) aimed at maximising and optimising crops, with a reduced use of resources.

From exploring the wonders of hydroponic farming, where plants thrive in nutrient-rich water tubes, to delving into the efficiencies of vertical pipe farming and the aquafarming grow system, visitors are treated to a visual and educational feast. The pavilion, with its thermal and mechanical automation, not only requires minimal maintenance but also champions water conservation. A specially devised technical area, boasting four 1,000-litre tanks, ensures a seamless flow of water and fertilizers, while state-of-the-art sensors and filters monitor environmental conditions.

The Italian Pavilion demonstrates the nation's commitment to pioneering sustainable agricultural practices and offers a unique, enriching experience for all visitors at Expo 2023 Doha.
