Expo 2023 Doha organizes "Expo Doha Symposium: Experiences and Impressions"

As part of the exciting events of the last week of the Expo 2023 Doha Horticulture Exhibition, a landmark seminar titled "Expo Doha Symposium: Experiences and Impressions" was organized, featuring a select number of experts and prominent figures.

Opening remarks were delivered by His Excellency Sheikh Suhaim Al Thani, the official spokesperson of Expo 2023 Doha, who highlighted the significance of Expo 2023 Doha as the first event of its kind in the MENA region and thanked the participating countries for their diligent efforts, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and exchange of information pertaining to the development of the agricultural sector and sustainability over the past six months to enhance sustainability efforts.

Ms. Hanaa Rabee Sawaly, Director of the Palestinian Pavilion, then took the floor, and thanked Qatar for bringing the nations of the world together. Ms. Sawaly highlighted the difficulties faced by the Palestinian delegation at the beginning of Expo 2023 Doha, and voiced her appreciation of the State of Qatar, which spared no effort to lend a helping hand and ensure the participation of Palestine.

Ms. Noora Nasser AlBanna, Director of Gardens at the Kuwait Pavilion, then spoke about the journey of the pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha, describing it as one of the largest international gatherings in the Gulf region, and highlighted Kuwait's significant efforts to promote sustainability and environmental initiatives, before expressing her gratitude to Qatar for its gracious hosting and for offering Kuwait the opportunity to showcase its latest sustainability innovations and interact with various segments of society through Expo 2023 Doha, which Ms. Nora described as a unique once-in-a-lifetime event through which Qatar demonstrated the Arab world’s ability to deliver great accomplishments through experience and knowledge sharing.

Dr. Hanaa Asfoor, the Director of the League of Arab States Pavilion, voiced her gratitude to the Expo 2023 Doha organizing committee for their efforts that encouraged the league to engage in various fields such as agriculture, economy, and technological innovation. Dr. Asfoor elaborated on the league's efforts to combat desertification, preserve biodiversity, and protect water security, including current sustainability programs such as the Green Belt Initiative, smart farming projects, and smart greenhouses in Egypt. She also praised the current edition of Expo 2023 Doha for the organization, the diverse participation, and the significant turnout.
