Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Visits Expo 2023 Doha

In a significant visit symbolizing international cooperation and a shared commitment, His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, graced Expo 2023 Doha with his presence. Accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Municipality and Chairman of the National Committee for Hosting Expo 2023 Doha and high-level delegation of ministers, they embarked on a tour through Expo 2023 Doha, learning about prominent facilities and unfolding events.

His Excellency President Erdogan signed the register of VIP visitors and engaged in the symbolic act of planting a Sidr tree in the International Zone — a living testament to the environmental values and growing ties between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkiye. Their exploration extended to the Qatari and Turkish pavilions, where they experienced the realm of modern agricultural techniques gaining insights into the sustainability initiatives of both nations. 

The Turkish pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha, themed 'Motherland of Gardening,' represents Turkiye's dedication to promoting a sustainable and greener future. It highlights the country's rich biodiversity and history, emphasizing its commitment to environmental preservation and technological innovation for a harmonious and sustainable world. Alongside the Turkish Pavilion, The Qatari pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha captivates visitors with its innovative approach to agriculture and environmental conservation. Drawing inspiration from Ras Broog, it artfully blends Qatari heritage with contemporary design, offering an educational journey through five distinct zones.

President Erdogan's visit to Expo 2023 Doha symbolized Türkiye's deep commitment to global sustainability goals and highlighted the significant international scope of Expo 2023 Doha, with nearly 80 countries participating. His presence went beyond ceremonial significance, underscoring the strong, collaborative relationship between Türkiye and Qatar. This visit marks a crucial step in fostering international cooperation and shared commitment towards a sustainable future.
