Senegal National Day Celebration at Expo 2023 Doha

His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, graced Expo 2023 Doha as he visited the Senegal Pavilion to kick-start the Senegal National Day celebration. Accompanied by His Excellency, the chairman of the national committee of Expo 2023 Doha, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Labor, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri, and Minister of Education and Higher Education, Her Excellency Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Nuaimi, and other honored ministers and dignitaries, President Sall was enlightened on the amenities and events offered by Expo 2023 Doha. As part of the inauguration ceremony, President Sall was given a comprehensive tour of the Qatar Pavilion.

The Senegal Pavilion focuses on Senegal’s achievements and vision for a more sustainable future. It showcases the country’s traditional take on sustainability by presenting the rich biodiversity of Senegalese soil, indigenous vegetation, and creative projects that aim to push the country towards a more sustainable future.

The national day festivities included a traditional Senegalese dance performance, followed by a live music performance, and a speech by President Sall praising Qatar’s efforts for hosting Expo 2023 Doha.

With the strengthening of the Senegalese economy and exports, the inauguration of the Senegal Pavilion presents a promising opportunity to fortify economic ties with Qatar. The pavilion serves as a cultural and economic showcase, providing a platform for both nations to engage in meaningful dialogue and collaboration. With Senegal's rich cultural heritage and diverse economic sectors on display, new opportunities for Qatar open up to explore investment avenues, trade partnerships, and mutually beneficial ventures.
