Comoros National Day Celebrated at Expo 2023 Doha

The celebration of Comoros National Day at the Expo 2023 Doha highlighted cultural appreciation and unity, resonating with the core themes Expo 2023 Doha. In the esteemed presence of His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Houmed Msaidie, His Excellency, the Minister of Education, Dr. Youssouf Takiddine, esteemed African ambassadors, diplomatic representatives, and pavilion commissioners, the ceremony commenced on the International Stage in the International Zone.

During the proceedings, the Permanent Representative of Comoros to UNESCO, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Kassim Mohamed Soyir Bajrafil, underscored the enduring fraternal ties between Qatar and Comoros, expressing gratitude for Qatar's gracious hospitality and the tireless effort invested into hosting Expo 2023 Doha.

Attendees embarked on an insightful exploration of the Comoros Pavilion where they encountered sustainable innovations and received in-depth insights into Comorian culture and heritage. The pavilion highlighted Comoros’ indigenous vegetation and wide variety of flowers famous for their contribution to the global perfume industry.

Enriching the experience, attendees partook in Comorian folklore performances and savoured the culinary delights of Comorian cuisine. The national day celebration displayed Expo 2023 Doha’s core themes – facilitating cross-cultural dialogue, fostering partnerships, and environmental stewardship.
